Boilermaker - Stapylton

Civilmart is anational manufacturer of civil concrete products supplying to sectors such as residential development, local governments, water authorities, civil infrastructure, irrigation, the plumbing, and drainage market. We are renowned for being one of the largest producers of precast concrete in Australia! With our operations now expanding across QLD, NSW, VIC, WA and SA across 26 different sites!

Civilmart are seeking an experienced, trade certified Boilermaker for our precast concrete manufacturing facility located at Stapylton.  

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 6.00 am to 2.06 pm (38 hours per week) with additional overtime hours where required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of moulds, repair of metal products and structures
• Read and understand precast drawings
• Setting of machine tools 
• Operation of overhead cranes and other lifting equipment
• Use a variety of tools and machines to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
• Shape and bend metal sections, and accurately weld 
• Fit fabricated metal parts into 
• Other associated fabrication, welding, and assembly tasks
• Supervision of boilermaker apprentice

The successful applicant will have:

• Experience working as a Boilermaker or Welder) - MIG welding
• Forklift licence, if you have one - not essential
• Understanding of heat treatment processes
• Basic fault-finding skills
• Must be able to use measuring equipment
• Good mechanical knowledge
• Able to work in a timely manner
• A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment

As part of keeping our employees safe, the successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol assessment.  Full time candidates are required to also undertake a pre-employment medical.
