Tasks and responsibilities:

• Experienced with site repairs of processing equipment, conveyors and pulleys


• Ability to interpret detailed Drawings


• Experience with GMAW, MMAW and/or GTAW Processes


• Ability to pass Plate and/or Pipe Weld Testing requirements


• Experience with Medium to Heavy Steel Fabrication, welding to AS/NZS 1554.1 SP as well as AS/NZS 3992

Qualifications and Essential Criteria

• Certificate III Engineering/Fabrication with a min 10-year trade experience


• Highest commitment to health and safety


• White/Blue Construction Card


• Be able to work onsite at Boyne Smelter Limited, and or QAL, RTAY, QMAG


• Have the ability to pass/and or hold a pre-employment medical (Blue/Yellow Medipass)


• Ability to attend and complete client site inductions and site compliance training


• High Risk License for Basic Rigging, Dogging, Forklift and/or EWP high regarded
