The Opportunities:
Join our expanding team in Sandgate where no day is the same and you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of different duties in Heavy Vehicle Body Building and Repairs.
What we are looking for:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, or plans to determine specifications and requirements.
• General fabrication and truck body manufacturing.
• Assist in the repairs and maintenance of related products.
• Operate machinery and use hand tools to cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal components.
• Use various welding techniques, including MIG & TIG welding, to assemble and weld metal components accurately.
• Measure and inspect completed workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and mechanics to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
• Cert III in Automotive Body Building; OR
• Three years of relevant experience in the industry
• Proficiency in using welding equipment and other fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and operate machinery safely.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• The ability to pass a Police check, Pre-Employment Medical and random Drug & Alcohol testing
• A positive attitude toward work and customer service
• To be reliable, flexible and willing to learn
