Boilermaker / Fabricator

Support Vehicles Australia Pty Ltd (SVA) is a leading Design and Manufacture organisation supplying bespoke heavy equipment to key clients primarily in the Mining Industry within Western Australia.

An opportunity is available for an experienced, trade qualified FABRICATOR / BOILERMAKER to join our Workshop in a permanent full-time capacity at our BASSENDEAN facility. The successful candidate will enjoy secure employment with a respected organization that produces high-quality products.

Opportunities exist in this workshop for career progression into leadership positions.

The successful candidate will be working on new equipment builds and sub assembly parts and components. Must be able to work independently, produce quality work on time and to meet production demands.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in interpreting drawings
• Desire to learn, take direction and follow process
• The ability to work well within a team environment
• Good time management skills
• Positive attitude toward safety, quality and housekeeping
• Experience in the manufacture and refurbishment of service trucks and/or watercarts will be well regarded

A skills assessment during interview may be required.

Desirable Tickets/Certifications:

• FABRICATION TRADE CERTIFICATE (essential to role)
• Confined Space Entry/Gas Test Atmosphere (must be obtained prior to employment)
• Working at Heights (must be obtained prior to employment)
• Forklift license
• Overhead Crane / Dogging
• Elevated Working Platform

Pay rate from $48-$52 per hour depending on qualification and experience.

Working on average, 50 hours per week, approx $127,000 per annum.
