As an Automotive Mechanic at TCR, you will:

• Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting to create daily reports as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.
• Promote a safety-first approach.
• Collaborate with fabricators, technicians and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for you to bring a wide collection of knowledge & skills to the role.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work environment to support safe and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain multiple unique GSE specialised equipment such as belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, baggage tractors & trailers and high loaders/

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have most of the following skills and experience:

• Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification such as Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Automotive Electrical Technology, Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualifications.
• Have your own tools.
• Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
• Hold a current and valid State Driver’s License.
• A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures.
• Experience working within procedural guidelines.
• Good communication skills and proactiveness.
• A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.

→ Pre-employment police and medical checks are mandatory for this position.
