Our Company is a proudly WA owned and operated fuel transport company. We believe our people are the heart and soul of our company. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Auto Electrician to join our team based in Kalgoorlie (Residential role only - no FIFO).


Key Role Focus & Responsibilities:

The Auto Electrician’s key role focus is to diagnose, repair, and maintain the electrical systems on our fleet of prime movers and fuel tankers. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, contributing innovative ideas for improving workshop operations.

·         Perform electrical diagnostics, repairs, and replacements on trucks, trailers, and fuel tankers.

·         Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify electrical faults and determine the necessary repairs.

·         Ensure that all electrical systems are functioning efficiently and safely, in compliance with industry standards.

·         Identify and report electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient repairs.

·         Assist in the upkeep of workshop equipment and facilities, including maintenance bays, service pits, and wash bays.

·         Complete required safety paperwork and ensure adherence to safety processes and procedures.

·         Work collaboratively within a team environment, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for the workshop.

·         Maintain a high standard of work quality, ensuring repairs are carried out to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications.

·         Assist in some general servicing processes.

·         Troubleshooting / repairing the air-controlled tankers.

·         Cleaning API's, compartment breathers and checking the prime mover cab functions.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

·         Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Minimum C class)

·         Unrestricted Australian Working Rights

·         Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

·         Trade Qualification: Certificate III or IV in Automotive Electrical Technology.

·         Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot electrical faults.

·         Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving issues.

·         Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

·         Must hold a current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months).

·         Detailed knowledge of load configurations, weights, allocation etc.

·         Exceptional attention to detail

·         Dedication to high safety standards

·         Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills

·         Ability to convey information clearly and effectively

·         Collaborative team player with a positive and constructive attitude

·         Strong problem-solving abilities

 

Desirable but Not Essential:

·         Experience with the electrical systems of automotive trucks, trailers, and fuel tankers (Kenworth, Cummins, Road Ranger, BPW running gear, and Tieman Fuel Tankers).

·         MTDATA experience

 

Experience:

·         Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience
