About Electromechanics 



Electromechanics are a small family-oriented auto electrical business who work areas such as electrical and accessory fit outs, harness manufacturing, lighting systems, electronic control system diagnosis and repair. Workshop is based in Maddington, servicing all of Perth. 


They have been operational for over 6 years and taken on multiple apprentices. Role is open due to one of the apprentices becoming qualified. 



Areas specialised in:



  • Heavy and specialised transport vehicles

  • Heavy auto electrical

  • Air-conditioning

  • Mobile plant and earth moving


 


Types of equipment worked with:





  • Bitumen application equipment

  • Quarrying equipment

  • Emergency services vehicles

  • Specialised heavy haulage equipment.



 


About the Role


Apprentice's will start out in the workshop for the 1st and 2nd year working under the supervision of their tradesmen. You would start on the smaller vehicles learning about common issues, and how to fix them, once you have the basics down you will be moved onto more complex tasks and once found competent in the 3rd and 4th year of your apprenticeship you will be able to move out of the workshop. Additionally, in the 3rd and 4th year you will be out on the road and provided with a work car. A uniform is also provided.


 


About the Apprentice


They are seeking an 1st year Auto Electrical Apprentice but are open to considering people who have started their apprenticeship as well. 


To be successful in this role, you will have:



  • A genuine interest in the industry 

  • Willingness to learn

  • A manual driver's licence

  • Have a pre-apprenticeship or relevant experience (this includes tinkering with cars, or having an active interest)

  • Own transport
