About the Role
Mechfield Facility Maintenance is seeking a motivated Apprentice Mechanical Plumber to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role where you will gain practical experience working across commercial and industrial sites throughout Victoria, supporting the installation, servicing and maintenance of HVAC+R systems.
You will work alongside experienced professionals and build a long-term career in mechanical plumbing within a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the installation of HVAC systems including ducted air conditioning, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, boilers, and ventilation systems
- Support servicing, maintenance and repair works across client sites
- Interpret drawings and assist with equipment layout and installation
- Identify required materials and assist with ordering and tracking deliveries
- Complete electronic job documentation including reports, JSAs and timesheets
- Assist with quoting for additional works where required
- Provide general site support and handyman duties as needed
- Participate in emergency call-outs and high-priority works
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and compliance requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A genuine interest in mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems
- Commitment to completing a trade qualification (or already commenced)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely on site
- White Card (preferred)
Required Licences & Checks
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- ARC Trainee Licence (or willingness to obtain)
