In the world of linehaul transport, reliability and compliance are everything, our diesel mechanics play a critical role keeping our trucks safe, roadworthy, and on schedule.

We’re a busy maintenance workshop servicing our national linehaul fleet, local MR and HR trucks, trailers, dollys, and more. As part of the team, you’ll help keep Australia’s freight moving while building your skills for the future.

The Role
We’re looking for a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic completing (or enrolled in) a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

You’ll gain real world experience working on:

  • Linehaul trucks, local MR/HR trucks, trailers, dolly’s
  • Brakes, suspension, lights, bearings, clutches, gearboxes
  • Trailer upgrades to EBS, welding and structural repairs
  • Servicing, diagnostics, and in-cab repairs

What You’ll Need

  • Be enrolled in or currently completing your Cert III Heavy Diesel
  • A genuine interest in the transport and heavy vehicle industry
  • Willingness to work in both our indoors and outdoor yard (rain, hail or shine we keep our fleet moving, (wet weather gear supplied))
  • Must have your own reliable transport or way to get to work - our yard is not close to public transport.
  • Good attitude and eagerness to learn

Hours

Our team generally do 45-47 hours per week. With overtime paid for all work outside ordinary hours. Our week generally looks like this, however these hours can change based on work load and urgency of works.

  • Monday: 7.00am – 5.00pm
  • Tuesday: 7.00am – 5.30/6.00pm (occasionally to 7-8pm)
  • Wednesday: 7.00am – 3.30pm
  • Thursday: 7.00am – 4.00pm
  • Friday: 6.00am – 6–8pm
