Who we are

Offshore Services Australasia (OSA) is the leading supplier of helicopters services to the Australian Offshore industry. We operate multiple helicopter types from several bases throughout Australia and Timor Leste providing support to several major oil and gas producers.

 

About the role

 

We are seeking applications from individuals who have a genuine passion for aviation mechanics or avionics, have an exceptional work ethic, are safety and team oriented and have strong communication skills.

 

 

The Diploma of Aeroskills is a structured training program of theoretical study (including CASR Part 66 examinations) and Practical Training. Theoretical training and examinations will be conducted at Aviation Australia’s Jandakot facilities. Practical training will primarily take place at our Darwin Base.  But over the course of your apprenticeship, you may be required to travel to other OSA bases to gain the required skills and knowledge to meet practical training and operational requirements.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes






Skills/Experience:

Candidates require the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Have completed a minimum of Year 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics subjects preferred.
  • A passion for Aviation and commitment to an Engineering Apprenticeship Program
  • A thirst to learn and a willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good manual dexterity (hand skills) with a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Enjoy building or restoring mechanical devices with strong adherence to safety standards
  • Team player and a natural problem solver possessing basic computer skills
  • Ability to pass a Federal Police criminal history check to establish your eligibility to hold an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card) 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination with random drug and alcohol screening and testing throughout employment
  • Unrestricted driver’s license – Preferred
