Support Vehicles Australia (SVA) is a leading Design and Manufacture organisation supplying bespoke heavy equipment to key clients primarily in the Mining Industry within Western Australia.
An opportunity is available for FIRST year Fabrication/Vehicle Body Building apprenticeships working with Fully Qualified Tradesmen at our workshops in Bassendean.
The position on offer is full time.
Mature Aged apprenticeships will be considered.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:
- Western Australian Certificate of Education with passes in English and Mathematics
- Pre- apprenticeship courses in Engineering (Heavy Fabrication or Vehicle Body Building) will be highly regarded
- Tickets in Forklift, Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry an advantage
- Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in the fabrication and welding trade
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to learn, take direction and follow processes
- Positive Attitude
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- Good time management skills
- Positive attitude towards safety, quality and housekeeping
