Description

Position Overview

Hazell Bros is currently welcoming Apprentices both in our General and Structures streams in Civil Construction for our 2026 Apprentice intake. 

Our Apprenticeships run over three years, combining formal TAFE study with field work, all while you are supported by experienced and passionate mentors to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

General Construction Role

  • Assist the team with civil works including road works projects, construction and maintenance
  • Operating small plant such as quick cut saw and forward/reverse plate
  • Interpretation of plans
  • Using GPS technology
  • Concreting
  • Pavement
  • Laying pipes
  • Operating Civil plant including rollers and articulated dump trucks

Structures Role

  • Assisting the team on major infrastructure projects such as bridges, reseviors, windfarms and overpasses
  • Carpentry
  • Steel fixing
  • Concreting and finishing
  • Dogging and rigging
  • Interpretation of plans
  • Using GPS technology
  • Operating Civil plant including excavators and telehandlers

  • Minimum current Provisional Car licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be willing to learn and try new things
