ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Based in Bunbury, MH Carpentry are a dedicated team of eight skilled professionals with a passion for delivering top-notch construction services. They pride themselves on their diverse range of skills, which extend beyond traditional carpentry. Their expertise spans various aspects of commercial construction, allowing them to tackle projects with a multifaceted approach and offer comprehensive solutions. Apprentices learn from the best, gaining hands-on experience in a range of construction areas beyond just carpentry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate individual interested in the building and construction industry. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity where the successful candidate will be enrolled to complete a Certificate III in Carpentry, supported by the employer and a nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

As an apprentice, you will be supporting a range of duties, including:

• Review technical drawings and specifications (aided)


• Use of power tools to cut and prepare timber and other materials


• Assemble form structures


• Create building frameworks, floors, roofs, skirting boards etc.


• Install fixtures and hardware such as door handles, locks, and accessories


• Hang doors and door frames

Ideally, we are seeking someone who has:

• A keen interest in carpentry and a passion to build their skill set


• Basic knowledge of hand powered tools


• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude


• Ability to work well in a team environment


• Completed a pre-apprenticeship (preferred but not essential)


• A driver's license and own transport (preferred but not essential)

Please note, not all projects are local, and the team are required to work away when needed. Examples of their work include the World Gym Fit outs in Perth, located in Canning Vale, Malaga, Midland, and Joondalup.
