About the Business:

Torbay Custom Builders is a small carpentry business specialising in residential properties, renovations, and providing expert carpentry services. The team works on a variety of projects, offering high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated apprentice to join their team and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of carpentry. As an apprentice, you will work closely with experienced tradespeople, assisting with various tasks and learning the trade in a supportive environment. This position will allow you to work towards completing a Certificate III in Carpentry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean up job sites and ensure they are safe and tidy
• Assist with the maintenance and packing up of tools
• Learn and assist with all aspects of carpentry, including residential builds and renovations
• Work alongside skilled carpenters to gain practical experience
• Follow instructions and safety protocols at all times

Ideal Candidate:

• Physically fit and willing to work hard
• Eager to learn about carpentry and the construction industry
• Must have a current driver’s license
• Reliable, punctual, and committed
• Own a toolbelt and basic carpentry tools (desirable)
