ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Lifewood (Formerly known as Bamboozle) is the brainchild of founder and Horticulturist Mark Hutchison. Introduced bamboo flooring to the WA market and later evolved the business into Solid Timber flooring. The flooring timber is sourced, manufactured and installed by themselves, and they take pride in their product which is patented. (https://www.lifewood.com.au).

They have a joint venture with a German company SEAFORM (https://seaformperth.com.au) which is a luxury kitchen and cabinetry brand, which is about a year into the business by now.

We are looking for an Apprentice Cabinet Maker that can join their expanding and dynamic team to help create the wonderful product in the homes in WA.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be enrolled to complete a Cabinet Making apprenticeship, supported by a nominated Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

As an apprentice, you'll support with the following duties:

  • Assist Senior installer to install Lifewood supplied products per their specification requirements and ensure the finished presentation of every job is consistent with the Lifewood brand and standards.
  • Follow work schedules as agreed with the Operations Manager, and give constructive and useful feedback regarding delivery timelines, installation schedules, installation methods, and product quality and durability.
  • Assist senior installer apply and contribute to the development and documentation of the installation process and standards.
  • Promoting Lifewood and referring the leads to the Customer Consultants.
  • Ensure a safe, consistent, and replicable customer experience that reflects the Lifewood company values.
  • Return unused products to the warehouse in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A driver's license
  • White Card
  • Experience or pre-apprenticeship in Carpentry or Building and Construction
