Apprentice Butcher

Looking to kickstart your career in butchery? Peter Augustus, part of the Stanbroke group, is on the lookout for an apprentice to join our team at Camp Hill.

About us:

Peter Augustus Craft Butcher is owned by Stanbroke Beef, a vertically integrated company with cattle farms, feedlot, and meat processing.  We are passionate about the beef we produce and need likeminded people to help sell our products to the public.  We produce five categories of beef which include Wagyu, Angus, Grass Fed, Grain Fed and Organic.  These are all the highest quality which make selling them an easy task.  We also team with other likeminded suppliers to source other quality items like Ryukyu Pork, Southeast Qld lambs and free-range chicken.

Whether you’re just starting out or already in your first or second year, this is a great chance to learn the craft of butchery while working with some of the best produce in Australia.

What you’ll be doing

• Learning hands-on butchery skills from experienced butchers
• Serving and engaging with our loyal customers
• Working with premium cuts of beef, lamb, pork and poultry
• Being part of a small, supportive team that takes pride in what we do

What we’re looking for

• A genuine interest in food, butchery, or customer service
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude
• First or second year experience is a bonus – but we’re just as happy to take on someone brand new
