Apprentice Butcher (2nd Year onwards)

Merriwa Supa IGA is seeking a motivated Apprentice Butcher to join the supermarket meat department. This role is suited to someone currently completing their apprenticeship who is looking to continue developing practical skills in a fast paced retail environment.

• Assist with meat cutting, trimming, and preparation under supervision
• Support the preparation and presentation of meat products
• Help maintain clean, organised, and well stocked displays
• Follow workplace health and safety, food safety, hygiene, and stock rotation procedures.
• Assist customers with basic product enquiries in a professional manner
   Work alongside qualified butchers to further develop trade skills

• Currently undertaking a Butchery Apprenticeship 
• Basic knife skills and understanding of meat preparation
• Willingness to learn and develop trade skills
•  Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
• Understanding of workplace safety and hygiene practices
• Availability to work weekends
