Key Responsibilities:
Training and Development:
- Assist in fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, as well as sheet metal machinery.
Fabrication and Assembly:
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal to specifications.
- Assist in welding, soldering, and riveting metal parts.
- Assemble and install sheet metal components for various projects.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all work meets quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy.
- Make adjustments or repairs as needed.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with experienced sheet metal workers.
Maintain tools/equipment
Participate in team meetings
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Enrollment/completion of a sheet metal apprenticeship program preferred
Skills:
Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
Attention to detail/accuracy
Good physical condition
Excellent communication/teamwork skills
