Are you passionate about aviation and looking for a rewarding career? Alliance Airlines is now accepting applications to join our team as an Avionics, Mechanical or Structures Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice, in our Adelaide base.

The position

Alliance Airlines is currently looking for candidates with a strong interest in aircraft to join our team through our 2024 apprentice intake. You will be responsible for assisting the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering team in the efficient and timely completion of maintenance tasks whilst gaining the required knowledge and experience to achieve the Aircraft Maintenance Trade Qualification – Certificate IV in Aeroskills.

The successful candidates will be employed in one of the following trade streams:

1. Avionics – candidates for this trade stream would have a strong interest in electronics, communication and computer systems.
2. Mechanical – candidates for this stream would have a strong interest in engines, hydraulics, air conditioning and fuel systems.
3. Structures – candidates for this trade stream would have a strong interest in repair and manufacture of metal and composite structural components with a high level of hand skills.

To be successful you will possess personal qualities of enthusiasm, self-motivation and a demonstrated commitment to exceptional quality, safety, and high standards of work output.

Specific Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a security clearance and hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card
• Sound written and oral communication skills
• Sound mathematics skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn and grow into a trade qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• High attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Well-developed computing skills
• Ability to think laterally in order to problem solve
• Sound time management skills
• Completion of an Aircraft Pre-vocational course (highly desirable)
