Hospitality Training Network (HTN) is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Chef to join the kitchen team at Devine Food and Wine (Sydney CBD). Applicants must have prior experience with Italian cuisine.

Devine Food and Wine trade Monday to Friday (Lunch & Dinner) and Saturdays from 4pm. This means:

  • Sundays & Public Holidays OFF: Guaranteed time for yourself.
  • Christmas Shutdown: 2-week closure over Xmas so you can recharge.
  • Structured Roster: 38–42 hours per week.
  • The Shift Mix: A balanced week consisting of two doubles and three singles.

The Role:

What we are looking for?

To suit this role, you will be an eager and motivated individual with a passion for food looking to kick-start your culinary career! You will have good communication skills, seek out opportunities to learn and show initiative in your everyday duties.

  • Previous Italian kitchen experience is highly regarded
  • Applicants must be a 2nd or 3rd-year apprentice. Preference will be given to those who have completed, or are close to completing, their TAFE requirements.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate well under pressure.

In order to be eligible for an apprenticeship in NSW you must be either an:

  • Australian Citizenship
  • Australian Permanent Residency
  • New Zealand Passport Holder residing in Australia for more than six months.
