WHAT WE OFFER
Casual Role: DIDO outage, located at Callide Power Station in Biloela, QLD
Project Dates: Start date from mid-August, running approximately until November.
Roster: Monday to Saturday, Days/Nights, 11-hour shifts.
Competitive Rate: EBA rates $70.15 p/h (including 25% casual loading) + OT Penalties (from base rate) + Site Allowance.
Other Benefits: Join a supportive team delivering Downers Callide outage. LAFHA or Accommodation is provided to distant workers.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking casual Special Class Welders to provide outage services at Callide Power Station in Biloela, QLD. Starting in mid-August 2025, Downer will offer mechanical and project services throughout the outage period. As a Special Class Welder, you will apply your expertise in piping setup, structural and welding fabrication, and boiler casings, ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.
ABOUT YOU
Site Proficient: Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sector
Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills
Workplace Safety: Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
Qualifications: Enter and work in confined spaces (RIIWHS202E), Working at heights (RIIWHS204E) (within 2 years), Construction white card
Trade certificate: All Welding qualifications will be required to complete an onsite weld test.
