What we are looking for:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Industry Plant Operator/Labourer to join our Infrastructure Delivery team. In this role, you will primarily perform general labouring duties with the occasional operation of machinery. Your efforts will be essential in ensuring the delivery of water services to our community.

What your day will look like:

  • Perform general labouring duties to support the maintenance and construction of water infrastructure
  • Occasionally operating excavators to support project delivery 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure water services are delivered safely and efficiently 
  • Conduct site clean up, material handling and equipment maintenance to ensure a smooth workflow

What you’ll need for success:

  • Experience in construction trenching and maintenance activities
  • Ability to undertake a variety of manual labouring tasks
  • Current backhoe & excavator licence and/or VOC (or ability to obtain before commencing)
  • Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations (or ability to obtain before commencement)
  • Have an enthusiasm for working outdoors and undertake manual work
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and in unpleasant conditions
  • Possess good interpersonal skills in order to provide excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a team
  • MR licence (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
