Are you a skilled and experienced spray painter looking for a new opportunity in Sydney? We’re looking for a qualified professional to contribute to a high-performing panel and paint team, supporting the vehicle reconditioning process with top-tier cosmetic repair solutions.
Salary: AUD $100,000
Location: Sydney, NSW
Industry: Automotive / Panel & Paint
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality spray painting using cost-effective methods
Estimate job durations and material requirements accurately
Prepare vehicles for painting (masking, filling, etc.)
Supervise and mentor apprentices
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
Maintain a clean, professional workspace
Contribute to continuous process improvement and problem-solving
Ensure consistent communication and support within the team
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a spray painter in a panel shop
Current NSW tradesperson certificate & paint qualification
Skilled in spray painting; other team members handle stripping, prepping & colour matching
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to manage time efficiently in a high-volume environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
NSW driver’s license required
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
