Underground Electrician

We are seeking experienced tradesperson to join our new maintenance team as an Electrician at Dugald River.

We specialise in shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, engineering & technical services, and specialty services in the mining and construction sectors.

With the recent acquisition of RUC Mining, we now operate the largest fleet of Raisedrill & Raisebore machines in Australia. Integrating RUC Mining's expertise with Redpath’s established reputation allows us to offer an expanded range of services and enhanced capabilities to our clients. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking talented candidates to be involved in the integration and streamlining of our operations to continue Redpath's development and ability to continue to deliver exceptional value to our clients and partners.

Roster on Offer - 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster,

FIFO - Flights available from Brisbane and Townsville, accommodation & meals provided.

• conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards
• provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices;
• prepare shift reports detailing work performed
• ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules.
   

We are looking for.

• Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment(preferable)
• Current Queensland Electrical Licence
• Current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Current working at heights qualifications
• Experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment
• Experience in high voltage work
• Strong fault finding & diagnostic skills
• Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks
• The ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
