Tyre Fitter Karratha

  • We are currently looking for a full-time Tyre Fitter with relevant experience to join our team based in Karratha permanently.
  • Based on the tools, working from our Karratha workshop, you will also be operating out on the road as a service fitter, whilst providing expert advice and expertise to our expanding customer base.
  • Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with strong customer service, capable of the tools, who can self-manage and keep the workshop organized.
  • We are looking for a current resident of Karratha or someone open to relocating to the city.

Your Daily Tasks will Include:

  • Repairing, replacing, and fitting vehicle tyres
  • Performing seasonal tyre changeovers
  • Selling truck, crane and OTR vehicle tyres
  • Performing tyre diagnostics (e.g., checking tyre condition, pressure, and tread depth)
  • Checking and adjusting wheel balance, alignment, and rotation
  • Inflating vehicle tyres
  • Helping customers choose products that meet their requirements.
  • Preparing quotes and invoices
  • Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order.
  • Complying with all safety standards and procedures

Ideally, you will have the following skill set and abilities:

  • Previous experience with truck tyres.
  • Some exposure to OTR, Earthmovers, is desirable.
  • A truck licence (car manual licence minimum requirement)
  • Certificate Two, Light and Heavy
  • Knowledge of mechanics, electrical and electronic systems, and tyre technology
  • Manual dexterity, precision, and accuracy
  • Ability to provide vehicle maintenance and technical support.

Paying between $36/hr and $42/hr, depending on experience.
