Are you a trade qualified professional eager for an opportunity to further advance your training and skillset? At Delta, we’re looking our next Trainee Rigger Scaffolder to join our Maintenance team at Vales Point Power Station. You’ll join a supportive team of seasoned professionals, leveraging your trade expertise while gaining hands-on experience in rigging and scaffolding and completing your qualifications. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  1. Apply Your Skills: Use your existing trade skills to deliver exceptional maintenance work and be a key player in supporting the team.
  2. Master Rigging: Assist in installing and adjusting rigging equipment essential for lifting and moving heavy plant components, working with the team to handle loads safely and efficiently.
  3. Build and Maintain Scaffolding: Construct and dismantle scaffolding around large equipment, providing safe access for maintenance staff to hard-to-reach areas.
  4. Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with engineers and team members to ensure rigging and scaffolding meet the specific needs of each maintenance task.
  5. Process Improvements: Contribute to enhancing maintenance routines by suggesting and implementing improvements.
  6. Safety and Compliance: You’ll prioritise safety in every task, rigorously adhering to company standards and legal requirements to ensure the safest possible work environment

About You:

  • You have a trade certificate and are seeking an opportunity to continue to hone your practical skills in a real-world setting whilst advancing your training and adding to your skillset
  • You have an interest in modern power stations or other heavy industry and are excited to work on large process plant
  • You are an analytical problem-solver and ensure precision and accuracy in everything you do
  • You enjoy building relationships across all levels and have outstanding communication skills
  • You are dedicated to both process and personal safety, ensuring that all activities meet the highest standards and compliance requirements
