Topside Labourer

About the opportunity 
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, your key duties include, but are not limited to:

• Set up the work area.
• Check trench edge for stability.
• Act as a spotter for excavators and other plant near the trench.
• Communicate between the pipelayer in the trench and Machine operator.
• Guide pipes and fittings. 
• Performing manual handling tasks.
• Pass down tools and materials.
• Prepare pipes for instillation. 
• Assist with backfilling prep.

About you
To be considered, you need to demonstrate the following:

• At least 1 years' experience as a topside labourer, subdivision experience is preferred. 
• Current driver’s licence
• OH&S Induction Card (White Card)
• Strong commitment to safety policies & procedures
• Good communication skills & a great work ethic
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Safety focused attitude.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible to work move across machines and sites as needed by the business.

Shortlisted candidates will need to complete a pre-employment medical assessment.
