Technical Officer - Mechanical

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Officer - Mechanical to join us in our Operations & Maintenance team in Cobar, NSW on a full time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Team Leader West - Mechanical, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, reliability and improvement of high-pressure pipeline to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with standards, including liaising with engineers and other relevant personnel, reviewing plans/designs, and making recommendations on equipment modifications, designs, and specifications.
• Source and procure new equipment, install, commission, and test new equipment, and monitor operation and rectify faults if required.
• Undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on pipeline systems, Meter Pressure Reduction and Compressor Stations, and associated equipment.
• Undertake extensive site overhauls on meter and compressor station mechanical equipment, identifying and analysing abnormal operating conditions and complex fault finding of equipment problems.
• Participate in major mechanical plant modifications, including assisting in the identification of component reliability, procurement, and maintenance scheduling.
• Monitor equipment operation and rectify faults if required to ensure effective equipment operation.

• Prepare, co-ordinate, and implement plans for the installation or modification of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with standards, including liaising with engineers and other relevant personnel.
• Source and procure new equipment, install, commission, and test new equipment, and monitor operation and rectify faults if required.
• Undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on pipeline systems, Meter Pressure Reduction and Compressor Stations, and associated equipment.
• Analyse and interpret data to maintain equipment integrity and optimise operational performance.
• Optimise and monitor meter pressure reduction and compressor station equipment/system performance.
