Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team at Gino’s Panel & Paint in South Fremantle, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to a variety of materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, filling, and taping.
- Match and mix paint colors efficiently, achieving a perfect match for touch-ups and full-body paint jobs.
- Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat applications according to industry standards.
- Utilize spray guns and other painting equipment with precision.
- Follow all safety guidelines for handling hazardous materials and equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure the finish meets company standards and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain paint booth, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless repair process.
Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of painting equipment, materials, and techniques.
- A strong understanding of color matching and mixing.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in auto body painting is preferred.
- I-CAR certification or similar is a plus
