The Opportunity 

Downer’s Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for casual Special Class Welders with Rope Access for a FIFO role located at Port Hedland in Western Australia. We can offer start dates from Mid-April with a variety of shutdown dates.  You will provide your expertise in maintaining fixed plant within a Rope Access shutdown project environment, ensuring that work is completed safely, effectively and to the required standard.

About You

• Site Proficient: Hold an Australian recognised Trade Certificate with proven experience in 3F and 4F welds as well as working within a Shutdown, Minesite heavy industry environment. 
• Technically Proficient: Experienced in Rope Access Welding (any level) with IRATA card and logbook
• Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, MSIC, White Card, Fire certificate, Working at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmospheres tickets (within 5 years validity). Must be clean shaven. 
• Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety.
