About the Role:
CrewSELECT are seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join an established Perth-based team supporting water infrastructure projects. This is a full-time service and installation role covering both Perth metro and remote WA sites (approx. 50/50 split).

Work involves maintaining, installing, servicing and commissioning mechanical and process equipment within water and wastewater treatment facilities. Occasional workshop prep work in Malaga may be required. Remote work is ad hoc (not rostered) and typically sees you home on weekends.

Duties include:

  • Service and maintain pumps, valves, mixers, dosing systems
  • Install, commission and troubleshoot water treatment systems
  • Prep components in workshop when required
  • Complete site-based works (metro 9–10 hrs/day, remote 10–12 hrs/day)
  • Adhere to HSEQ requirements and support continuous improvement

Tickets & Licenses:

  • Mechanical trade certificate (essential)
  • Manual driver’s license (essential)
  • Construction White Card (essential)
  • EWP, Confined Space, Gas Testing & Working at Heights – desirable (or willingness to obtain)

Experience:

  • Previous mechanical fitting experience (water industry preferred)
  • Competent working with pumps, valves, mixers, and pipework
  • Comfortable working independently on remote sites
  • Understanding of installation and commissioning procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
