An exciting opportunity for an experienced Signalling Electrician to join Ventia, (placed #3 in the AFR BOSS Best Places to Work – Property, Construction and  Transport Sector) in a permanent position on the Brisbane Airport Rail Link.

About the Role

In this role you will perform inspections, assessments and maintenance of the track and associated equipment to maintain the safety and integrity of the Brisbane Airport Rail Link for safe passenger trains. Duties include

• Maintenance of engineering systems, plant, equipment and depot facilities


• Routine inspections, maintenance and repair activities on signalling, electrical and mechanical infrastructure


• Attending to failures including identifying and report on cause of failure


• Respond to after hours signalling, electrical and mechanical call outs to system failures and incidents affecting train services


• Assist with developing improvement maintenance plans, technical instructions and procedures to improve  productivity


• Provide on the job assistance and knowledge to other team members

Required Skills and Experience

• Unrestricted Electrical Workers licence / Electrical mechanics Licence QLD


• Current CPR LVR


• Cert IV in Railway signalling


• Construction white card


• Current drivers’ licence


• Rail Safety Worker Category 2

Must be able to be on call on alternating weekends.
