Shift Maintenance Electrician

Norco are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our electrical team at our Lismore ice cream factory.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, in this role you will be responsible for the provision of preventative and corrective electrical maintenance and troubleshooting programming / control faults as part of the factory’s maintenance team. The position will also be involved with electrical and system control projects.

This role is a full time permanent position that requires the ability to work a flexible shift roster and able to respond to calls outside business hours from time to time. As Shift Electrician, the position will be part of a team of electricians and mechanical fitters, and may be required to assist with mechanical work from time to time.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated skills in industrial electrical installations and maintenance
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in relation to safety including risk management
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-faceted team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised.
  • Proven experience in a diagnostics, fault finding and rectification
  • Current NSW Electrical Licence or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated effective/natural communication skills
  • Availability for shiftwork (including night, weekend) and overtime
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s/VSD’s/HMI’s, ASi systems and SCADA systems (Ignition)
  • Current drivers licence
  • Display behaviours that are consistent with Norco Co-Operative’s values of Authenticity, Agility, Diversity and Connection.
  • Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience with industrial networks, EthernetIP, IO link, Asi
  • Experience with process control in the food and beverage industry
  • Experience with packaging equipment
