The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, NEPEAN Longwall is seeking an experienced Site Service Engineer (Mechanical) to provide specialist technical support, fault finding, repairs and maintenance for NEPEAN Longwall equipment operating on client mine sites throughout Queensland.

Acting as the on-site product specialist, you will take ownership of all NEPEAN Longwall equipment on site, ensuring equipment reliability, operational performance and exceptional client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical representative for NEPEAN equipment on site.
• Develop strong working relationships with client stakeholders and site personnel.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance advice on longwall equipment at customer sites
• Conduct inspections, fault finding, and diagnostics on underground mining equipment
• Communicate findings to both the customer and internal teams to support aftermarket sales and product solutions
• Support commissioning, maintenance, and performance optimisation of NEPEAN longwall products
• Build strong relationships with site maintenance teams and supervisors
• Prepare service reports and provide feedback to engineering and operations teams
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with site safety standards and underground mining procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or strong mechanical engineering background
• Current Standard 11 (Underground).
• Current Coal Board Medical.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in demanding underground mining environments.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
