Senior Project Engineer - FIFO

• FIFO Senior Civil Engineer – 2:1 Roster 
• Remote infrastructure projects, working with regional councils & DTMR

Opportunity with a privately Queensland owned civil construction company who work within resources, local authorities and main road projects across QLD and remote areas. They deliver small to medium infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges & structures, drainage and remote civil works. This is a business with an emphasis on providing a long-term career opportunity. Due to project wins and company growth, this contractor is seeking a FIFO Senior Project Engineer delivering projects ranging between $2M - $10M. You will work closely with the PM and Supervisor, planning the works, managing the crews, liaising with the client, ensuring the program is met, costings are accurate and quality assurance is recorded - exposure and responsibilities towards project management. To be successful you must have a minimum of 6 years delivering civil infrastructure, main roads or alike for a civil contractor in similar conditions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Planning, programming & resourcing
• Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
• Subcontractor management
• Monitoring Quality Assurance 
• Liaising with clients, contractors & consultants 
• Tracking and updating project program against contract baseline
• Progress claims & variations
• Reporting on a weekly & monthly basis
• Ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are met

The successful Engineer must have at least 6 years of main roads - TMR, Council or similar civil infrastructure experience with relevant engineering qualifications. A steady work history going up through the ranks, on site delivering projects that consist of bulk earthworks, roads, structures to the specifications set by governing bodies.

This role will suit a hard-working professional who enjoys FIFO on 2:1 roster, working for a smaller-tier organisation, with a close-knit team where you will be valued and taken care of. This individual can be based anywhere in QLD and happy to travel!
