How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?

As a Mechanical Engineer joining our QLD Water Team, you will play an integral part in a highly skilled team to engineer resilient and sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.

In your new role you will:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Chartered status with Engineers Australia (or equivalent) and RPEQ is preferred but not essential.
  • Have demonstrated experience in a similar position, ideally working on the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including treatment plants and networks. Knowledge of Australian water industry standards and codes is highly regarded.
  • Lead or contribute to successful teams to deliver challenging water and wastewater concept and detailed design projects for our clients including Seqwater, Unitywater, Urban Utilities, and State and Federal Governments.
  • Undertake and/or assist with the mechanical design and hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater network and treatment infrastructure.
  • Produce high-quality technical outputs to meet client expectations including design documents, reports, specifications and presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver excellent project outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as well as a commitment to your own ongoing learning and professional development.
