We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Engineer - Mechanical to join us in our Gas Operations East team in Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead Asset Engineering – QLD, you will play a key role in providing technical support to the Asset Operations team, collaborating and leading responsive and proactive improvements, and championing safe, reliable operation for the Queensland and East Coast asset base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of static mechanical equipment across the Queensland asset base
  • Identify, assess, and support the management of engineering and operational risks within your area of responsibility
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and a broad range of stakeholders to prioritise and deliver key improvement initiatives
  • Contribute engineering expertise and leadership across Queensland asset teams and the wider Gas East Asset Engineering function
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and team members, fostering capability development within the team

Your background

  • Chartered Professional Mechanical Engineer (CEng) or equivalent, with Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering design, standards, and regulatory compliance within a relevant industry
  • Operational or field-based engineering experience will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Proven ability to mentor, support, and guide junior engineers and team members
