The Senior Commissioning Electrician plays a critical role in ensuring electrical systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for leading commissioning activities, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and verifying system functionality to support successful project delivery.

The Senior Commissioning Electrician provides technical expertise and leadership throughout the commissioning phase. This role demands a strong understanding of electrical systems, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality assurance.

This is a 15:13 roster, with assets dotted throughout Australia.

BE part of the change

To be part of the change this role will: 

• Test and commission safety systems to ensure operational readiness
•  Perform QA/QC inspections on electrical instruments
• Complete ITRs (electrical test sheets)
• Work from electrical drawings
• Design reviews and drawing mark-ups
• Be responsible for compliance with HSE policies, ensuring workplace compliance, and reporting hazards and near misses

BE this person

As part of the solution, you will have:

• WA Electrical Licence
• Demonstrated experience in power system commissioning or BESS
• HV Switching trained and competent
• Experience with SCADA desirable
• Able to fault find and solve problem effectively
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations
