About the role

Join MSS Security, one of Australia’s leading security providers, as a Security Supervisor at our client site in Mount Isa. This full-time role offers FIFO from Brisbane and the opportunity to lead a committed, customer-focused team in a dynamic environment.

As a Security Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining site safety and operational integrity. Your responsibilities will include access control, patrols, emergency response, and team coordination. You’ll be the frontline presence ensuring compliance, professionalism, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site access control and traffic flow

• Conduct mobile and foot patrols, including vehicle and bag inspections

• Perform drug and alcohol testing in line with site protocols

• Issue and manage security passes, keys, and building access

• Monitor radio communications, respond to incidents, and support emergency procedures

• Deliver high-level customer service and observe driver behaviours

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic logs and reports

Skills & Experience

• QLD Security Licence (Unarmed Security Officer minimum) MSS Security will fund licensing for successful candidates under a return-of-service agreement

• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

• QLD Driver’s Licence

• Willing to complete or already hold HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drug Testing Course costs covered by MSS Security for successful applicants

• Availability to work a rotational roster (days, nights, weekends)

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills for reporting and documentation
