Our dynamic engineering team is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our Acoustics/Noise and Vibration team in our Sydney office as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with experience with Electronics.

The role includes but is not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain our fleet of real-time noise and vibration monitors for field deployment.
• Helping to conduct field measurement programs ranging from same-day site visits to the support of multi-year monitoring programs in a variety of challenging settings.
• Collaborate closely with our global equipment and monitoring teams to optimise system performance.
• Collaborate with our engineering team (primarily Noise, Vibration and Air Quality) to support the development and maintenance of monitoring systems.
• Assist in configuring and troubleshooting monitoring devices (monitors, sensors, modems etc).
• Take ownership of our existing online monitoring platform, ensuring it operates effectively and integrates with field devices.
• Support the configuration, troubleshooting, and calibration of various monitoring equipment, including monitors and modems.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project discussions.

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with experience with Electronics.
• Ability to work in a variety of physically demanding environments.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in Australia.

Ideal candidates will have:

• An interest/experience in Linux based operating systems.
• An interest/experience in low power microcontroller-based systems.
• Good hands-on assembly skills such as wiring and soldering.
• Proficiency in one of more of the following languages (C++, C#, Python, Java).
• An interest/experience in database management (SQL).
