FIFO Stores Supervisor

The Position:
We are seeking experienced and hands-on FIFO Team Supervisor to join our remote site team. The role is ideal for individuals looking to step up from frontline positions or bring prior FIFO experience in a supervisory capacity.
1. Provide Administrative Support
Maintain accurate administrative records and ensure timely data entry into relevant systems.
Prepare, analyse, and distribute periodic and ad hoc reports.
Support the distribution of catering communications across the site.
Order and manage office stationery and site equipment in line with budget requirements.
Attend catering and operational meetings, providing updates and tracking action items.
2. Lead and Manage People
Supervise, coach, and develop store team members to achieve performance targets.
Coordinate and promote training and development for all store staff.
Build a positive team culture, encouraging cooperation and accountability.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company policies and procedures.
Model high standards of professional behaviour and performance.
Manage team performance, including feedback, support, and corrective action where needed.
Coordinate onboarding and pre-induction processes for new team members.
Develop, maintain, and manage staff rosters aligned with operational needs.
3. Stock Control & Inventory Management (Daily, Weekly & Monthly)
Implement and maintain effective stock control systems and processes.
Receive, inspect, and store deliveries in accordance with food safety and storage requirements.
Perform 3-way matching (purchase order, delivery docket, and invoice).
Conduct accurate stock counts for all incoming deliveries.
Reconcile invoices and ensure all receipts are correctly processed and closed.
Supervise staff during delivery (“truck days”) to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Ensure correct stock rotation and preparation of stores areas.
Prepare all purchase orders (POs) prior to scheduled deliveries.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Site Management on end-of-month (EOM) stocktakes.
4. Safety & Hygiene Procedures
Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
Maintain and enforce food safety and hygiene standards in line with regulatory and company requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture by modelling safe work practices.
Conduct regular safety checks and support hazard identification, reporting, and corrective actions.
Ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all team members.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all stores, storage areas, and catering operations.
Support audits and inspections, ensuring all documentation and practices meet compliance standards.
5. Workplace Communication & Team Collaboration
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and stakeholders.
Maintain high standards of personal presentation and professionalism.
Foster teamwork and support a collaborative work environment.
6. Apply Communication & Customer Service Skills
Accurately receive, interpret, and relay information.
Follow operational instructions and procedures consistently.
Deliver a high standard of internal and external customer service.
7. Compliance & General Duties
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Maintain a safe working environment, including compliance with WHS standards.
Valid Forklift License (essential)
Current Driver’s License (essential)
Relevant certification in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, Warehousing, or Logistics (desirable but not essential
Proven experience in warehouse and/or catering operations
Strong computer skills, including:
Microsoft Excel
Database management systems
Microsoft Outlook
Collaboration and communication tools
Demonstrated experience in culinary and hospitality operations
Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop a team
