We are seeking skilled and experienced Rope Access Rigger/Scaffolders to join our team at Aloca Portland Aluminium Smelter in Victoria for approximately 6 month duration. You will carry out remediation works, playing a crucial part in the structural integrity and maintenance across various sections of the smelter.

Key Duties

  • Perform blasting and painting tasks on structural components, including steel structures, cable tray supports, air slide supports, handrails, and gantries.
  • Engage in encapsulation and ensure environmental safety in line with Alcoa's Environmental Policy.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of experts employing scaffolding and rope access techniques.

About You

  • Local applicants from the Portland region are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Proven experience in Rope Access Rigger/Scaffolders within a heavy industrial setting
  • High Risk Work Licence – RA, RI or SA SI
  • Working at Heights within 2 years
  • Valid certifications for rope access (IRATA) are highly desirable
  • Construction White Card

What We Offer

  • DIDO or FIFO to Melbourne Airport then carpool to site
  • 12hr days x 13-day fortnight
  • 4 weeks on – 2 weeks off
  • Paid 8hr RDO/Travel Day each fortnight  
  • Accommodation provided + LAHA $80 per day for food provided for non-local employees.
