Refrigeration Technician | Prominent Hill | 8:6

About the Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our Asset & Facilities Maintenance team at a remote mining accommodation village in South Australia, supporting an ongoing contract at Prominent Hill.

This role involves delivering reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across village HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and associated facilities. You’ll be part of a team ensuring a safe, comfortable, compliant environment for all site residents.

FIFO position, operating on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster, departing from Adelaide.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration 
• Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARC Licence) 
• Restricted Electrical Work Licence  – restricted to refrigeration/air-conditioner installation 
• Manual C‑Class Driver’s Licence
• Minimum two years’ experience in cold room maintenance/repair
• Experience with installation, servicing, and repair of split systems, ducted systems, and commercial HVAC equipment
• Experience with heat pump hot water systems
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform diagnostics and work independently
• Comfortable working in remote, high‑volume, fast‑paced environments
• Proficient in basic digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
