Pump Fitter l Full Time

🛠️ Opportunity:

We are looking for a skilled and driven Pump Fitter to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise and make a meaningful impact within a growing and well-regarded organisation based in Yarrawonga, Northern Territory.

 

About the Role:

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Fit, assemble, and install machinery and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform all work in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with team members and other trades to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
  • Report progress, issues, and equipment status to supervisors and relevant stakeholders promptly.

 

🎓 Experience:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining or Diesel Fitting)
  • White Card (Construction Induction Safety Certificate)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (manual preferred)
  • Valid High Risk Work Licence (desirable)
  • Forklift and/or EWP Licence (advantageous)
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights (preferred but not essential)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in mechanical fitting, specifically with pump systems and dewatering equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude in:
    • Pump maintenance, overhauls, and repairs (submersible, centrifugal, diaphragm, etc.)
    • Diagnosing faults and conducting preventative maintenance
    • Pipework installations and fluid transfer systems
  • Experience in mining, civil, or industrial environments preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus
  • Safety-focused with strong understanding of WHS procedures and regulations
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively under minimal supervision

 

💰 Benefits: Full Time Position Available

🕘 38 hours/week Monday to Friday 40 hour week.
