What you’ll do:   






  • Coordinate and manage the development and implementation of technical engineering solutions, providing timely support and recommendations to the project manager.




  • Identify and assess options for project needs, involving key stakeholders in decision-making and evaluating associated costs.




  • Ensure clear and comprehensive project briefings and documentation for effective responses from consultants and contractors, minimising RFIs.




  • Oversee and coordinate design consultants and construction contractors in the development of innovative options, concepts, and detailed designs. Ensure adherence to engineering specifications and standards throughout the process, while managing the implementation of designs during construction and the successful commissioning of the system




  • Foster team collaboration, prioritise tasks effectively, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and uphold safety protocols throughout all projects.








  


What we are looking for:    






  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering




  • Proven experience in managing the engineering and design aspects of multiple multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on safety in design.




  • Ability to interpret, assess, and review engineering designs, drawings, and construction methodologies to ensure compliance with standards and achieve project objectives.








  • Ideally, knowledge of assets relevant to WaterNSW core asset base such as dams, water regulating structures, various types of gates and cranes.  








  • Experience in collaborative decision-making with stakeholders to review, analyse, negotiate and implement technical solutions. 










  • Current NSW Driver's License.
