About the role:
Complete detailed engineering design and calculations for refrigeration solutions
Prepare cost estimates and tender submissions to meet client specifications and deadlines, including interstate and overseas projects
Evaluate and upgrade existing refrigeration systems to meet client needs
Promote GBI services, including consulting, contracting, maintenance, and parts supply
Deliver strong customer support and manage projects end-to-end (design, procurement, coordination, costs, and delivery)
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety systems
Ensure adherence to Australian and international standards
Provide drafting support (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, sketches) for small projects
Perform on-site audits and prepare client reports
Support continuous improvement of engineering and project systems
Complete administrative tasks related to engineering and project management
Assist with commissioning, training, and service support
What we look for:
An Engineering Qualification with Industrial Experience
A strong background in Engineering design and or project delivery for Mechanical Electrical or process equipment, ideally working with refrigeration or compression in heavy industry
Experience in process engineering design
Excellent skills in designing and developing industrial refrigeration, compression projects or rotating equipment
Experience in project management of mechanical, electrical or process projects delivering complex documentation and deliverable
Experience in heavy industry such as petrochemical or oil and gas/compression or other similar
Effective handling of project reviews and handling by conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test)
Be able to understand and interpret the design intent around qualified specification and drawings
Competent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Project, Visio and AutoCAD skills would be an advantage to the applicant
Standardizing of the deliverables including software, points list, documentation etc.
Setting up and maintaining a standard library of the above
Exceptional time management and communication skills
Ability to work within a team environment
Drive to succeed
Keep up to date with the technical aspects of the job and be willing to undertake training from time to time as required
Act as liaison between the customer and Johnson Controls by building a long-term working relationship
