Cleanaway’s Narangba Oil Refinery is seeking a dynamic Maintenance fitter to join their team. Operating out of their site-based workshop, you will be integral in ensuring Plant preventative and corrective maintenance activities as well as breakdowns are carried out in a timely manner and to site standards.
Permanent - Fulltime position – Narangba, QLD
Rotating roster – 3 weeks of Day shift (6am starts), then 1 week of A/S (12pm starts)
Monday to Friday + overtime available as required. All overtime paid at penalty rates
Day shift pay rate $43.59 per hour + penalties for overtime. (42.5% loading for afternoon shift)
Weekend on-call roster - $300 allowance paid + min 4 hours call out
The Opportunity:
Perform fault/maintenance diagnostic activities & complete repairs as required to ensure the continuous operation of the plant.
Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services relating to the plant. This includes assisting in the organisation of shutdowns
Perform fabrication activities in accordance with blueprints or schematic drawings, including any minor welding repairs as required
About You:
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (AUS) or National Certificate in Automotive Machining – Level 4(NZ) or equivalent.
Experience with Pumps, Compressors, High pressure valves and flanges
Forklift license, EWP license, Confined space and working at heights are highly advantageous
Computer literacy is essential for this role
Ability to work overtime
Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and repairing a range of machinery
