Salary: $120 - $140 k + Vehicle + Superannuation

Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Plumbing Manager / Leading Hand Plumber to oversee residential plumbing renovation projects from end to end. This role is a blend of hands-on plumbing work and office-based management. You will be on the tools 2-3 days per week while also managing subcontractors, coordinating materials, engaging with clients, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. 

Key Responsibilities On the Tools (2-3 days per week): 

• Carry out plumbing works across renovations in both the residential and commercial space. 
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to apprentices and subcontractors on-site. 
• Ensure all plumbing works meet compliance, safety, and quality standards. 

Management / Office-Based (2-3 days per week): 

• Oversee and run residential and small commercial renovation projects, including resource allocation and timelines. 
• Manage subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines. 
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies. 
• Prepare and track project budgets, quotes, and variations. 
• Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and managing expectations. 
• Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, WHS, and company policies. 
• Assist with workforce planning, including mentoring apprentices and supporting the plumbing team. 

Skills & Experience 

• Trade qualification as a Licensed Plumber (essential). 
• Proven experience in residential plumbing, including installations, repairs, and maintenance. 
• Previous experience in a supervisory or project management role (desirable). 
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and compliance requirements. 
• Excellent communication and client management skills. 
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans. 
• Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. 
• Proficient in MS Office and project management software (or willing to learn).
