Downer has been awarded a major Integrated Facilities Management contract with Stockland, delivering services across a national portfolio of commercial offices, retail centres, logistics facilities and land lease communities. This long-term partnership reflects Downer’s strength in managing large, complex portfolios and delivering high quality services at scale. 

 

We currently have an opportunity for Trade Qualified Plumber join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland’s national portfolio, with multiple sites to support across the area. 

 

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.  

 

What You’ll Do  

 

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: 

  • Carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and fault finding across shopping centres
  • Respond promptly to plumbing issues such as leaks, blocked drains, and hot water system faults, prioritising resident safety and comfort 
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise disruptions 
  • Liaise professionally with residents, staff, and contractors while working within occupied homes 
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report any risks or compliance issues 
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant Australian standards and workplace health and safety requirements

 

What You’ll Bring  

 

  • Current Plumbing Licence / Contractor Licence (Plumbing) issued by NSW Fair Trading
  • Trade qualification: Certificate III in Plumbing (CPC32420 or equivalent) 
  • Proven experience in plumbing maintenance, repairs, and fault finding 
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and compliance requirements 
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple jobs 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and ability to communicate effectively
  • Prepared to undertake necessary pre-employment checks including National Police Check and medical
  • Working with Children’s Check - mandatory
