We have opportunities available for qualified Plumbers to support with this long-term contract (initial 6 year term) These are permanent full-time positions offering work-life balance and based at RAAF Darwin (and surrounding bases).

About the role
You will ensure the effective and efficient repair and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, fittings, pipework systems, and plumbing-related infrastructure across all Defence buildings, structures, and infrastructure.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing plumbing issues in Defence buildings and infrastructure.
Installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters.
Ensuring all plumbing work complies with current legislation and regulatory standards.
Conducting routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and pipework.
Collaborating with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs and installations.
Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
Advising on the selection of materials and equipment for plumbing repairs and installations.
Providing technical support and guidance to junior staff and apprentices.
Identifying areas for process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement best practices.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing or equivalent qualification, and valid Plumbing & Drainage Occupational Licence.
Licence endorsements for backflow prevention, heat pump water systems, on-site sewerage facility maintenance, solar water systems, and thermostatic mixing valves would be highly desirable.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
